  • Early Voting

This new option enables all registered voters to cast their ballot in person, using a voting machine, during a nine-day period prior to Election Day for the General Election and a three-day period prior to the Primary Election at any of the early voting locations within Middlesex County. AdobeStock_410610399

VOTE by mail:

 1. Apply 

Mail-In Ballots are available in the County Clerk's office and must be requested in writing by filling out a Mail-In Ballot Application. Your personal signature is required. The County Clerk's office must receive Mail-In Ballot Applications by mail no later than seven days prior to the election date.

NOTE: Any mail-in voter who fails to apply in writing for a mail-in ballot within seven days prior to an election may apply in person at the County Clerk's office up until 3 PM the day before the election.

2. Complete 

Once you receive your ballot in the mail . . .

  • Fill it out and choose the candidates you want to vote for
  • Seal the completed ballot in the certificate envelope
  • Sign the certificate envelope next to the red X 
  • Seal the completed certificate envelope in the outer envelope provided

NOTE: If you lost, damaged, or did not receive your Mail-In Ballot you may request a replacement ballot from the County Clerk's Office by: 

    • Calling 732-745-4202
    • Mailing, faxing, or emailing a Replacement Ballot Request Form to the Office of the County Clerk. 
      • For information regarding the address, fax number, and email of the County Clerk, please view the form.
    • Visiting the County Clerk's Office, Elections Division at 26 Kennedy Blvd., Suite B, East Brunswick, NJ 08816

3. ReturnElection Drop Box

Vote-by-mail ballots may be returned through the United States Postal System (USPS) or by using the drop box located in front of the stairs of the Plainsboro Township Municipal Building.
