Bulk Waste Drop Off

Accepted Items

Bulk waste drop off provides Plainsboro residents the opportunity to dispose of items not normally collected by their private waste hauler. Items include:

  • Bicycles
  • Electronics
  • Furniture
  • Lawn mowers (remove gas/oil)
  • White goods (appliances)
  • Wood scrap
  • Other bulky items

Unaccepted Items

Items regularly recycled curbside are not accepted (e.g., cardboard, plastic bottles/cans and metal bottles/cans). Construction and demolition debris is not accepted but residents are allowed to dispose of small quantities of masonry and paving items.

Visiting the Facility

Prior to entering the Conservation Center, proof of residency is required. Additionally, unless prior arrangements are made with the Department of Public Works, commercial vehicles are not allowed in the facility. PRIVATE TRANSFER STATIONS

A number of transfer stations in and around Middlesex County accept waste from personal vehicles weighing less than 9,000 pounds for a single vehicle or 16,000 pounds combined weight for a vehicle pulling a trailer. Waste must be delivered and there will be a charge per load. Please call the facility to determine the operating days and hours and fees.
