Plainsboro contracts with East Windsor Township to provide an Animal Control Officer (ACO) and related services. The Plainsboro Police Department oversees animal control services.

Animal Emergencies
The police department should be called under the following circumstances:

• Sick, attacking or abnormally acting wildlife
• Domestic animals attacking or threatening public safety
• Any wild or domestic animal bite (investigation or follow-up will be determined by the ACO)
• Stray of troublesome cat or dog
