Plainsboro was notified recently that the Township will receive a $457,410 grant from the New Jersey Department of Transportation (NJDOT) Municipal Aid Program for pavement maintenance to College Road West.
“We are very appreciative to the NJDOT for recognizing the need for this grant to improve a portion of College Road West”, Mayor Cantu said.
The proposed work includes: milling and paving, retrofitting existing storm drain inlets, installing ADA ramps, replacement of concrete curb and sidewalks-where needed, replacing traffic striping, traffic signs and; where possible, guide rail upgrades.
The work proposed for College Road West is westbound from the Route 1 bridge to Village Boulevard and eastbound from Village Boulevard to the Route 1 bridge.
Road design work is scheduled for 2022 and construction in 2023.
