The New Jersey Department of Transportation (NJDOT) awarded the Township a $210,000 bike path grant for the construction of a new path from Morris Davison Park to Scotts Corner Road, approximately 2400 feet in distance.
The bikeway will allow residents from nearby apartments, townhomes and condominiums patronizing Morris Davison Park to get there by biking or walking.
The new bike path will be eight feet wide and will be set back approximately 10 feet from the roadway.
“We are very pleased that NJDOT recognized the need for the bikeway, which is part of the Township’s Master Plan”, said Mayor Peter Cantu.
Construction will not occur until late 2019.
