Goodbye Winter, Hello Spring! 


There is still time to register for the wonderful classes and events held at the Plainsboro Recreation & Cultural Center! Hop over to Plainsboro Recreation this Spring!

Spring Break Movie Day – Tuesday, April 3:  Join us for a viewing of How to Train your Dragon - a hapless young Viking who aspires to hunt dragons becomes the unlikely friend of a young dragon himself, and learns there may be more to the creatures than he assumed. Movie will begin at 1:00 pm at the Plainsboro Recreation & Cultural Center. Program is not a drop-off program. Adult supervision is required. Register all members of the family attending the movie.
 
Fitness Frenzy Show – Wednesday, April 4:  This multi-media, magic, comedy, and juggling show teaches the biology of fitness while using animated digital projections and physical demonstrations. A fun way to learn about being healthy! Parent supervision is required. Open to all ages. Parent supervision is required. Not a drop-off program. Register all members of the family attending the show. Show begins at 1:00 pm
 
Spring Break Camp Day – Thursday, April 5:  Register your child for a day of activities with our summer Lenape Day Camp teachers! Play fitness games, participate in a science experiment, and make a craft in our art class. All activities are typical of our summer camp. Come see what Summer Camp 2018 will be like.  Camp Day is from 10 am – 1 pm at the Plainsboro Recreation & Cultural Center. Children must be registered. Cost is $5.00 per child. Children will have a snack break and will be given a snack, but can also bring their own. 
 
Bus Trip to Hershey Park – Saturday, April 7:  Families can enjoy a day of play at Hershey Park! Enjoy rides and entertainment in the Park, tour Hershey's Chocolate World, visit ZooAmerica, hop on Hershey Trolley Works, or take a shuttle bus to The Hershey Story, The Museum on Chocolate Avenue. Something for everyone! Minimal charge for bus seat. Participants are responsible for purchasing own tickets from Hershey's website or in person once we arrive. Bus leaves Plainsboro at 8 am. Bus leaves Hershey at 7 pm.  Register now for bus seats! Space is limited.

Family Fun Night – Saturday, April 14:  Get the family together, grab your friends and neighbors, and head for some fun at the Recreation & Cultural Center. Enjoy time playing various board games, Bingo, and Wii games! Crafts will be offered and children can play races and games with our Lenape Camp Fitness Teacher! Children must be chaperoned. Open program. No registration needed. Event runs from 6:00-8:00 pm. 
 
Inspirational Boot Camp: Combination of strength, cardio, muscle endurance, flexibility, core, balance and healthy eating. From beginners to advance.  Exercise bands, weights and more are included. At the end of each session a healthy meal will be provided.
 
Soccer Classes: Classes are being offered to children between the ages of 3 and 6 years of age. Each class will focus on skill and techniques including dribbling, passing, ball control, moves and turns, positioning and much more!
 
Tennis Classes: Tennis classes ranging from 3 years of age through adults remain available including beginner programs, developmental and foundation tennis.
 
Multi Sports Classes: Try a variety of different sports throughout the season including Lacrosse, Soccer, T-Ball, and Track & Field. All sports are taught in a safe and structured learning environment designed to ensure learning and most importantly: fun!
 
Gourmet Cooking for Young Chefs: Saturday, April 14- May 12, Ages 7-11, 5 classes 10:30 am- 12:00 pm. $50 Plainsboro residents/ $60 Non-Residents. Learn essential cooking skills through cooking and enjoying a meal together using fresh ingredients. By the end of our program students will develop techniques necessary to make delicious meals to share with family and friends. Each class will be centered on cooking an important meal of the day. Breakfast, lunch, dinner and (don't forget) dessert!
 
Registration for all of these programs can be done through the Township website or in-person at the Recreation & Cultural Center. We hope to see you this Spring!
