Dear Valued Customer:
As you may be aware, Public Service Electric and Gas (PSE&G), along with its contractors, has begun construction activities along the existing electric transmission right-of-way, in proximity to your property in Plainsboro, as part of the Metuchen-Trenton-Burlington (MTB) transmission project.
This letter is to notify you that on or about Friday, July 19, 2019, PSE&G and its contractors will utilize helicopter crews to help install the MTB transmission line between the Devils Brook Switching Station in South Brunswick and the PSE&G Plainsboro Substation in Plainsboro.
The helicopter activity in South Brunswick and Plainsboro is expected for a four-day period, from 8 a.m. to 7 p.m., weather permitting. This activity entails pulling the rope from one transmission structure to the next using a small helicopter. Intermittent road closures are expected in Plainsboro along Scotts Corner Road, Park Drive, Woodland Drive, and Dey Road.
Safety is our highest priority at PSE&G. It remains essential that you and anyone occupying your property refrain from going on the right-of-way during construction. Traffic control will consist of police and Traffic Safety Services (TSS). A comprehensive health and safety plan is in place.
PSE&G has secured the required permits and approvals from state and federal agencies, including the Federal Aviation Administration, and any other applicable state, municipal, county and regional agencies.
Please note that all work crews associated with the Project will have credentials identifying them as working on behalf of PSE&G.
PSE&G truly appreciates your understanding and patience during this construction Project. If you have any questions or concerns, please call our Project Hotline at 1-888-431-0555. For more information, you may visit the project website at pseg.com/mtb.
