It’s Back -- Plainsboro Community Energy Aggregation Program (Round 2)

With the end of the successful first round of the Plainsboro Community Energy Aggregation Program (PCEA) and the return of more favorable market conditions, the Mayor and Township Committee authorized the launch of Round 2 of the program in February.  Following is a timeline of key dates related to the PCEA program:

  • Auction held - March 13, 2019 - Direct Energy is successful vendor (16 month contract)
  • Announcement letter to all residents mailed on or about April 8, 2019
  • Public Information Session  -  April 24, 2019 at 6:00pm – Plainsboro Municipal Building  
  • Opt out deadline - May 8, 2019
  • Implementation date - With June 2019 meter read (varies per residence depending on cycle)
  • Contract ends - October 2020
